Deleting your account
Effective 4 September 2026 · back to Setronome · Privacy · Terms · Refunds · Support
A Setronome account exists to carry one thing between your devices: whether you bought the unlock. You can delete it whenever you like, and you do not have to ask anybody.
In the app
Open Setronome, then Settings, Account, Delete account. You will be asked to confirm once, and then it is done.
Without the app
If you have already uninstalled Setronome, email support@setronome.io from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. A person reads it, usually the same day. We do not ask for a reason and there is no retention offer.
What is deleted
All of it. The account record is short, and this is the whole of it:
- your email address
- the account identifier
- the record of your purchase: its transaction identifier, where it was bought, and the date it was recorded
There is nothing else, because nothing else was ever collected. No name, no device identifier, no analytics, and nothing about what you play or when.
What is not deleted, because it was never ours
Your work stays exactly where it is. Shows, tempo maps, sets, rehearsal plans, practice history, recordings and settings live on your device and in your browser. They have never been on our server, so deleting the account does not reach them, and it does not remove anything from this browser.
A show you shared with somebody else stays theirs. It traveled as a file.
What deleting costs you
The record of your purchase goes with the account, and this cannot be undone. Deleting is not the same as a refund; if a refund is what you want, the refunds page is the one to read.
If you bought inside the iPhone app, Apple holds its own record of that payment. We cannot see it, change it or delete it, and deleting your Setronome account does not cancel it or ask Apple for anything.
The app on your iPhone keeps working if you bought it through Apple. If you bought on setronome.io, the phone is unlocked through this account and will ask you to sign in again at its next launch. It verifies your purchase with Apple directly and does not need a Setronome account to do it, so deleting one does not lock it.
