Setronome collects nothing about you or your playing. No analytics, no tracking, no profile, no telemetry of any kind. The only record that ever leaves your device is the one an account needs to carry a purchase between platforms; it is a short record and it is described in full below.

Everything you make stays on your device. Shows, tempo maps, sets, rehearsal plans, practice history and settings are files on your phone or data in your browser. There is no account behind them and no way for us to see them. When you share a show, it travels as a file you hand to someone through AirDrop, Files, mail, or a download, and it goes only where you send it.

On iPhone, your shows are also in your own iCloud. The app mirrors them into your personal iCloud Documents so they are on your iPad and your other devices, and it is on unless you turn it off, which is one tap in Settings. That copy is yours: it sits in your Apple account, under Apple’s terms, and we have no access to it and no way to read it. It is not a copy sent to us, and turning it off does not take anything away from the app.

The microphone is used, not kept. The tuner, push-to-talk, and the two opt-in listening switches, “Listen and tell me how I am doing” on the Metronome and “measure the band” in Rehearsal, analyze audio live, in memory, on your device. No audio is written to disk and none ever leaves the device. What is kept, on the device only, is the result: a few numbers per rehearsal run, so the app can tell you whether a passage improved. In the web app the microphone belongs to the tuner alone, and it is opened only while the tuner is on screen and stops the moment you leave it.

The camera is never opened. The beat flash uses the torch only. Nothing is recorded.

Group Click uses your local network only. The phone at the speaker sends the click to the phones that follow it, directly, the way AirDrop works. Nothing leaves your devices.

The web app works the same way. Shows, saved tempos, rehearsal history and settings live in your browser’s own storage, and any recordings attached to a show are held there too, in the browser’s local database. Recordings are never uploaded: they arrive in the file your director shared with you, or from your own disk, and they do not leave the browser. There are no analytics, no tracking and no cookies. With no account signed in, the page makes no requests to anyone but the server it loaded from.

No ads, no analytics, no third-party SDKs, no data sale. On any platform, ever.

The one exception: the account that carries a purchase

The one-time unlock is bought once and works on every platform Setronome runs on, and an account is what carries it between them. An account is an email address and a password. When you make one, the record is your email address, an account identifier, the purchase’s transaction identifier, where it was bought, and the date it was recorded. That is the entire record: no name, no device identifier, nothing about what you play or when. It answers one question, which is whether this person paid.

Where that record is held. The account and that one row live on Supabase, a hosting service, on servers in the United States. They hold it for us and do nothing else with it. Nobody else is given it, and it is never sold.

Nothing you make ever reaches it. Shows, tempo maps, sets, rehearsal plans, recordings, saved tempos and rehearsal history are on your device and are not part of the account. Signing in does not upload them, and signing out does not take them away.

Password resets go through email, which is why an address is needed at all.

Deleting the account. In the app it is Settings, Account, Delete account, and it takes one confirmation. If you have already uninstalled it, email us from the address below and we will do it. Either way the whole record above is gone, and it cannot be undone. Nothing you made is touched, because none of it was ever there. The full explanation, written so that somebody who no longer has the app installed can still read it, is at setronome.io/delete-account.

Children

Setronome is used by school ensembles. It has no social features, no messaging, no ads, no analytics and no profiles, and it collects nothing about anybody beyond the email address an account is made with. There is nothing in it to share, and nothing is ever sold or given to anyone.

If this policy ever changes, the change will be visible here before it takes effect, and the app will never begin collecting something new without asking first.
